Empowerment for Positive Change
Awakening is the training program arm of Unmute Yourself that is run through The Unmuted Project, Inc. The service consultancy is dedicated to equipping and empowering everyone including the survivors of interpersonal violence to become active and contributing members of their communities. Through a range of community and individual training programs, we aim to provide survivors with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to transform lives and create thriving communities.

By participating in these training programs, individuals can gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to overcome the challenges they face and embrace new opportunities. The goal is to empower individuals to create positive change in their own lives and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Please note that our training programs are tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each audience. We create safe and supportive environments where participants can learn, grow, and connect with others in the room. All of these programs are accessible to the general public, and can be tailored to suit the needs of your school, church, business, or community program.

Unmuted for Peace - Violence Interruption by Birthing Empowerment (VIBE):
This program focuses on promoting peaceful and healthy relationships. Through the Alternative to Violence Project Curriculum, participants engage in interactive workshops, discussions, and activities that explore conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, and the development of positive interpersonal skills. By fostering understanding, empathy, and nonviolence, survivors can transform their relationships and contribute to building peaceful communities.

Unmuted for Preferment - Violence Interrupters: Transformative Action for Life (VITAL):
This is a program that combines an Alternative to Violence Program and Youth Entrepreneurial Program that aims to address the dual challenges of violence and limited economic opportunities among the youth in our community. By combining an Alternative to Violence Program and a Youth Entrepreneurial Program, we can provide a comprehensive approach that empowers young individuals, equips them with essential skills, and offers viable alternatives to violence through entrepreneurship. This combined initiative will foster a safer and more prosperous community by addressing root causes and promoting sustainable solutions. Our program integrates elements of violence prevention, mentorship, business education, and access to resources, creating a holistic framework for transformative change.

Unmuted for Purpose - Professional Readiness Program:
This program aims to empower individuals by enhancing their professional skills and readiness for the workforce. We offer training in various areas, including STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), such as web design, coding, and programming through resources like Code.org, and aviator training. Additionally, our entrepreneurship training program equips participants with the knowledge and tools to start their own businesses, fostering self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.

Unmuted for Prosperity - Personal Financial Literacy:
Financial literacy is crucial for individuals to regain control of their lives and build a solid foundation for their future. Our program offers comprehensive training on personal financial management, including budgeting, saving, investment strategies, and understanding credit. We also provide guidance on property ownership, helping survivors navigate the process of homeownership and build assets for long-term stability.

Unmuted for Progression - Voices of Resilience: Healing and Transformation:
This is a comprehensive community-based program grounded on the humanities that aims to investigate and address the complex challenges of interpersonal assault and gun violence in communities. This program strives to offer a secure and inclusive environment for people of the community to engage in meaningful conversations, critical thinking, and the development of empathy in relation to the aforementioned subjects. The program aims to promote healing, education, awareness, and collective action by utilizing a variety of interactive forms, such as community chats, interpretive exhibits, lectures and podcasts, reading and film discussions, and cultural festivals.

The Unmuted Project, Inc. is a dedicated partner in advancing social justice, offering research and consulting services. With expertise in social justice issues, violence, and victimology, they provide in-depth analysis, actionable solutions, and an intersectional approach to drive positive change.
