About the event
Domestic Violence Symposium
The 4th Annual “Break the Silence, End Domestic Violence” Symposium, themed “Survivors as Experts, Communities as Allies,” moves beyond traditional awareness to lived expertise, community learning, and ally activation. This year, survivors are not simply sharing their stories; they are taking their rightful place alongside professionals as experts whose lived knowledge can help shape stronger community responses to domestic violence.
Objectives of the Symposium
Elevate survivor lived experience as expertise, not simply testimony.
Challenge myths and misconceptions surrounding domestic and intimate partner violence.
Bring survivor leaders and multidisciplinary professionals together to examine gaps in prevention, intervention, and response.
